It’s been awhile since I posted and honestly I have no real excuse…so lets get right down to it.

First off I just wanted to say that I actually enjoyed the race at Watkin’s Glen. I thought it was good….well except for the horrific crash.  Not to many cautions, lots of good clean racing. Fun!  I have decided that road courses are far more fun to watch on TV then in-person and that goes with NASCAR, IRL or whatever.

So here my pre-race and post-race musings for Watkin’s Glen- where Tony had a very respectable 2nd place finish.

And did you know Tony is going to be running a very special paint scheme (click link for pictures of the car) at the  CARFAX 250 nationwide race this Saturday? For more information about the GKTW village that this paint scheme is raising money for check out their website or the website about their NASCAR VIEW-A-THON to raise money for the campers.

Ok…so those where my shameless plugs…to make it up to you I am going to give you some cool links to check out if you haven’t already:

First check out The Fast and the Fabulous’s Interview with David Gilliland. It is a definite must read: (part 1 and Part 2). My favorite part is where Gilliland mentions that it felt good to be praised by both Gordon and Stewart after his amazing second place finish at Infineon. I may be a hard core Stewart fan, but both Gilliland and his teammate Kvapil both impress me.

Also- a new (at least to me) NASCAR blog to check out is THE NASCAR INSIDERS, written by insiders for outsiders. Its well written and has a unique spin on topics I want to know about. Also- you can ask them to write about particular topics.  Another definite must read.
